Biography |

Macca C is my name. I started in the Music business in the early 1990’s. I begun in a sound system called (Conqueror sound system) and played out at various parties, clubs, and weddings. We parted ways in the late 1990’s this is when Macca C was born as a Radio Presenter/Promoter.

I started presenting on Avenues Radio Station as a teenager. It was a radio station that was founded by the government to help the youths stay off the streets. I moved on to the community radio station, Street FM and presented there for 3 years between 2000 and 2003 after which it closed down. I then moved over to Juice UK between 2003-2007 and covered a very popular talk show called Juicy Issues and also helped develop a live karaoke programme where listeners would call up and sing live on air. In addition I did a slow jam show on a Sunday afternoon and then again later on a Sunday night.

After 2007 I decided it was time for a change and thought it was time to move to the next level. I then joined Unique Radio.org. I came onto the station and started a breakfast show called Dilemma Breakfast on a Friday between 7-10am. It’s a show designed for those that have everyday issues that they like our lovely listeners to help them with. I also cover a mixture of various other features throughout the weeks such as (Love Test, Featured artists, Live Dilemmas and soon to be introduced Feature reports on artists).

At present I Co-host a talk show on a Wednesday between 7-8pm (Straight Talk) alongside David Charles. Straight Talk has been on going for just over a year now and keeps getting better and better! It is a show designed for our community, giving us all a chance to debate various issues that we face on a day to day basis in our community and all around the world. The show hopes to educate and be an informative medium for many people in our community no matter how young or old.

Some of the venues played at: Yeungs wine bar, Club192, Club Libertaire, Teo’s wine bar, Café society, Café Royals, Corks Wine bar, Earls Wine bar etc
