Christian Bashment Artist Outa West London hits the airwaves!
Get ready for a spiritual take over!

GP a.k.a God's Profit is a dynamic young Bashment Artist, who uses Raggae music to convey God's love to mankind. A young and talented indiviual GP's music is directed towards change, not just any old change but 'spiritual change'. GP's desire is to spiritually enlighten people through relevant and contempory styles of music.

SO, WHO EXACTLY IS THIS ARTIST FONDLY REFERRED TO AS GP?
A Bashment Artist with a difference GP is the first official musician to be released from the Heirs 2 da Throne camp (H2T). With his roots firmly set in North West London, GP grew up studying and listening to what he describes as the all the time Reggae greats before embarking in his chosen field. With over 10yrs experience behind him, GP is by no means a newcomer to the industry. Discovered at the prime age of 18, by the late great DJ Village free styling, with members of his original group at a local record store in harlesden; Village, immediately arranged for him and his crew (Mindwellas) to appear on his weekly radio show (formerly SKY 97.1 FM). Needless to say the DJ was impressed, and predicted bigger and better things for the group.

The Birth of GP
In 2001 GP successfully completed his degree in (BSc) Social Policy and since graduating traveled to various destinations around the world including Ghana, Portugal, Sweden and Finland to name but a few. However, it was his trip to Africa which set in motion the beginning of what was to become a very real spiritual transformation and change in his character and religious belief. In the autumn of 2003 GP, under his previous artist name Pyton P, gave his life to Christ and became a born again Christian.
Since then GP has spent the last couple of years touring & performing on the UK Prison circuit. “The first place I just knew I had to take my music was prison, I just had this feeling”, says GP, and boy was he correct. His first experience in a UK prison was a total frenzy which had prisoner’s getting up out there chair to shake a leg or two, getting overly excited, but most importantly they were ready to embrace and receive his message and challenge to “CHANGE”! So far GP, has been to a number of UK prisons, including, HMP Belmarsh, Elmley, Scrubbs, Bullwood Hall, Parkhurst, Albany, Swaleside, Rochester YOI, Camphill, but his personal favorite to date has to be HMP Brixton where inmates “love and soak up the
vibes” says GP.

In between his prison performances GP has also found time to take part in events such as UK Unsigned, reaching as far as the semi-finals in 2007, Expressions talent search & showcase and the ever successful 2008 Hope Academy Tour, in which he was a finalist! Fast forward to 2009, GP, has finally found residence as the C.E.O of his own label “heirs 2 da throne (H2T records)” and is here to take the arena by storm.

“Honestly? Some things just take that little longer to mature than others, but these are usually
the things worth waiting for”. “… Music today, sounds very monotonous & one dimensional, everybody’s singing about the same old same old, or regurgitating the same formula i.e. slacknes, degrading women, getting high on drugs, violence or plain sex. I felt the need to offer people something different; I
wanted my music to stand out and touch people…I wanted to go ‘against the grain’… and
provide music for the soul” GP (H2T).

Which is certainly what he does, on his debut LP “El-shaddai”, release March 2009. On this amazing CD, GP touches on sensitive subjects, which highlight problems surrounding a lack of love for self as well as others, our quest for love, and trying to find it in all the wrong places; on tracks such as “where I was born”, GP talks about (West Africa) his homeland where he was born and raised, and even goes as far as speaking in tongues! This as well as the remix is a must hear!

With production from some of the best sought after names in the business, Jazzwad, Bubblers (Ruff Cutt), and Father Buck of Righteous Corner GP’s music is proving to be a sure fired hit with his listeners; and with mastering at one of the best mastering studio’s world wide, Metroplis Studios you can guarantee that the sound quality is next to none.
